VLC for iOS has returned to the App Store and it brings a host of new features. The media player app was removed due to copyright issues between the GNU General Public License and the AppStore terms of use. According to MacRumors, the new app is fully open-source and the video playback and library kits are available for integration by other developers to avoid further copyright issues.
